Little GF Chefs is a monthly baking club for children created to boost confidence, build lasting memories, and teach practical baking skills. Each month members receive a carefully prepared kit in the mail that features a fun, kid-friendly recipe plus all the dry ingredients and decorating supplies needed to make it. Every kit also includes a useful cooking tool so young bakers can begin their own collection of kitchen essentials.

All recipes in the Little GF Chefs kits are gluten-free, dairy-free, tree nut–free, and peanut-free to accommodate common dietary restrictions. For example, the first month’s kit is a Unicorn Donuts kit and includes a step-by-step recipe card, pre-measured dry donut and icing mixes, dye-free plant-based food coloring, sprinkles, and a silicone donut pan that makes six donuts. The goal is to simplify baking for families managing food allergies or celiac disease while keeping the experience joyful and accessible for kids.
Why I started Little GF Chefs

I started Little GF Chefs because I wanted to help children on restricted diets face anxiety and low self-confidence through a positive, creative activity. Kids with celiac disease or food allergies often experience real fears around food and social situations. Baking together has become a way to address those feelings in a safe, constructive environment—giving children hands-on experience and letting them enjoy treats they can eat without worry.
Baking with my daughter began as a personal solution to a painful moment. At a birthday party she watched other kids enjoy donuts and quietly longed for one she couldn’t safely eat. Afterward, we went home, gathered ingredients, and baked our own donuts. We got messy, laughed, and tasted something delicious and satisfying. That simple baking session changed how she thought about food and about what was possible for her diet.
Over time we noticed broader benefits beyond the kitchen. The weekly baking projects have helped her build confidence, learn responsibility, and develop a healthier relationship with food. Those improvements are exactly what I hoped to encourage for other families.
- She is learning to develop a more positive relationship with food rather than fearing it.
- Her growing kitchen skills are increasing her overall self-confidence.
- She is learning life skills—measuring, following directions, and safe food handling—that will help her become more independent in the future.
